The mighty Vanara (Mainda) for his part hurled the rock to crush the Rakshasa. Kumbha attacked him with five sharp arrows and rock got broken.
Dharma is reflected as disciplined warfare (yuddha-nīti): force is met with measured skill, showing how combat in the epic is also a test of mastery and restraint.
Mainda attacks Kumbha by throwing a boulder, and Kumbha counters by shattering it mid-flight with five arrows.
Alertness and precision—Kumbha’s capacity to neutralize a heavy projectile through focused archery.
