daśa-koṭi-sahasrāṇi rakṣasāṃ kāma-rūpiṇām | māṃsa-śoṇita-bhakṣyāṇāṃ laṅkā-pura-nivāsinām || 6.19.15 ||

ในนครลังกามียักษ์รากษสาอยู่อย่างนับไม่ถ้วน—นับเป็นหมื่นพันแห่งสิบโกฏิ—ผู้แปลงกายได้ตามปรารถนา และยังชีพด้วยเนื้อและโลหิต
