Public Opinion and Royal Duty
लङ्घनं च समुद्रस्यलङ्कायाश्चापिमर्धनम् ।सफलंतस्य च श्लाघ्यमद्यकर्महनूमतः ।।6.118.7।।
laṅghanaṁ ca samudrasya laṅkāyāś cāpi mardhanam |
saphalaṁ tasya ca ślāghyam adya karma hanūmataḥ ||6.118.7||
การเหินข้ามมหาสมุทรของหนุมาน และการบดขยี้ลงกา บัดนี้ได้บังเกิดผลสำเร็จแล้ว—กรรมอันนั้นของท่านควรแก่การสรรเสริญยิ่งนัก
"When you were alone you were abducted by the fickle minded Rakshasa. The fault of destiny has been won by me, a mortal by the will of god।।"
Dharma recognizes and honors righteous service: noble effort done for a just cause becomes ‘fruitful’ and deserves public praise.
Rāma credits Hanumān’s earlier heroic acts—crossing the ocean and striking fear in Laṅkā—as key steps leading to the present victory.
Bhakti expressed as courageous service: unwavering loyalty translated into decisive action.
