रावणक्रोधः—रामस्य परुषवाक्यम्
Ravana’s Fury and Rama’s Harsh Admonition
यदा च शस्त्रंनारेभे न चकर्षशरासनम् ।नास्यप्रत्यकरोवदीर्यंविक्लबेनान्तरात्मना ।।।।
yadā ca śastraṁ nārebhe na ca karṣac charāsanam |
nāsya pratyakaro(v)a vīryaṁ viklabenāntarātmanā ||
ครั้นจิตภายในสับสน เขามิอาจใช้อาวุธให้เคลื่อนไหว และมิอาจชักคันศรได้; ความกล้าหาญก็เสื่อมถอย ไม่อาจต้านทานพระเดชานุภาพของพระราม
Being confused mentally, Ravana did not start his arrows, nor stretch his bow, nor was able to use missiles and was not able to oppose Rama's valour.
A mind that departs from satya and dharma loses steadiness. Ethical failure is portrayed as practical incapacity: confusion prevents right action even in moments demanding courage.
Under pressure from Rāma’s attack, Rāvaṇa becomes mentally unsteady and cannot properly employ weapons or defend himself.
Rāma’s unwavering strength and moral authority, which overwhelms the opponent not only physically but also psychologically.
