सीताविलापः रावणनिन्दा च
Sita’s Lament and Condemnation of Ravana
न हि त्वमीदृशं कृत्वा तस्यालीकं महात्मनः।।3.53.21।।धरितुं शक्ष्यसि चिरं विषं पीत्वेव निर्घृणः।
na hi tvam īdṛśaṃ kṛtvā tasyālīkaṃ mahātmanaḥ ||3.53.21||
dharituṃ śakṣyasi ciraṃ viṣaṃ pītv eva nirghṛṇaḥ |
โอ้ผู้ไร้เมตตา ครั้นเจ้ากระทำเล่ห์ลวงเช่นนั้นต่อมหาตมะผู้นั้นแล้ว เจ้าจะดำรงอยู่ได้ไม่นาน—ดุจผู้ดื่มพิษ
You are pitiless. You will not be able to survive for long after deceiving such noble Rama just as man cannot survive after drinking poison.
Deceit (alīka) against the righteous destroys the deceiver: adharma carries swift self-ruin, like poison taken into one’s own body.
Sītā directly predicts Rāvaṇa’s doom because he has wronged Rāma through abduction and treachery.
Satya (truthfulness) and moral certainty: Sītā speaks as one grounded in the inevitability of dharmic consequence.
