Application: Make commitments sparingly and fulfill them; let speech align with capacity and conscience.

Primary Rasa: shringara

Secondary Rasa: shanta

Visual Art Cues: {"scene_description":"In a jeweled celestial pavilion, Sulocanā—wide-eyed and poised—addresses Rambhā with measured urgency. Rambhā, the apsaras, inclines her head in assent, sealing a promise amid floating lotus-petals and faint incense haze.","primary_figures":["Sulocanā","Rambhā","attendant apsarases (optional)"],"setting":"Celestial court/pavilion with carved pillars, lotus pools, and silk canopies; subtle suggestion of svarga opulence.","lighting_mood":"temple lamp-lit","color_palette":["lotus pink","pearl white","emerald green","antique gold","sapphire blue"],"tanjore_prompt":"Tanjore painting style: Sulocanā and Rambhā in a richly ornamented celestial mandapa, gold leaf halos, gem-studded jewelry, deep red-green drapery, stylized lotus pool at the base, intricate arch motifs, devotional sheen and embossed gold detailing.","pahari_prompt":"Pahari miniature style: two elegant apsarases in delicate profile exchange a vow in a serene palace terrace, soft pastel sky, fine floral patterns on garments, lyrical restraint, thin lines, gentle expressions, distant hills rendered in cool washes.","kerala_mural_prompt":"Kerala mural style: bold black outlines and flat natural pigments, Sulocanā and Rambhā with large expressive eyes, ornate crowns and necklaces, lotus and creeper borders, warm yellow-red background, temple-wall compositional symmetry.","pichwai_prompt":"Pichwai cloth painting style: a decorative court scene framed by dense floral borders and lotus motifs, peacocks at corners, deep indigo ground with gold highlights; apsarases rendered in Nathdwara-inspired ornamentation, textile-like patterning throughout."}

Audio Atmosphere: {"recitation_mood":"narrative","suggested_raga":"Yaman","pace":"moderate-narrative","voice_tone":"reverent-soft","sound_elements":["soft ankle-bells","tanpura drone","distant temple bells","gentle breeze"]}

Sandhi Resolution Notes: एवमुक्तं = एवम् + उक्तम्. एवमेव = एवम् + एव. देवयोषिता = देव + योषिता (षष्ठी-तत्पुरुष: ‘देवानां योषित्’).

FAQs

Rambhā is identified as a devayoṣitā (a celestial maiden/apsaras). Sulocanā (“fair-eyed”) is the woman addressing her; the verse summarizes their exchange and resulting pledge.

It reports that after Sulocanā spoke to Rambhā, Rambhā responded by making a corresponding promise (pratijñā).

The verse highlights commitment and reciprocal assurance—once words are exchanged, a pledge is given, emphasizing reliability and accountability in speech.
