Gaṅgā-māhātmya
मासं तर्पणमात्रेण पिंडसंपातनेन च । गंगायां पितरः सर्वे सुप्रीताः सूर्यवर्चसः ॥ १० ॥
māsaṃ tarpaṇamātreṇa piṃḍasaṃpātanena ca | gaṃgāyāṃ pitaraḥ sarve suprītāḥ sūryavarcasaḥ || 10 ||
เพียงทำตัรปณะตลอดหนึ่งเดือน และถวายปิณฑะในแม่น้ำคงคา ก็ทำให้ปิตฤทั้งปวงพอใจยิ่ง และรุ่งเรืองดุจรัศมีแห่งสุริยะ
