संवत्सररणे घोरे पितुर्वचनकारणात् । अवाप कटिसूत्रं तु दैत्यराजप्रियास्थितम् ॥ ४२ ॥

ในการศึกอันน่าสะพรึงที่ยืดเยื้อหนึ่งปี ด้วยเหตุแห่งพระบัญชาของบิดา เขาได้มาซึ่งสายคาดเอวศักดิ์สิทธิ์ซึ่งเก็บไว้กับนางอันเป็นที่รักของราชาแห่งไทตยะ
