Purāṇa-Māhātmya

आज्ञप्तश्च पुनः सर्वैर्दर्शनार्थं गुरोर्ययौ । तेऽपि सर्वे द्विजश्रेष्ठाः शौनकाद्याः समाहिताः । श्रुतं सम्यगनुष्ठाय तत्र तस्थुश्च सत्रिणः ॥ ४९ ॥

ājñaptaśca punaḥ sarvairdarśanārthaṃ guroryayau | te'pi sarve dvijaśreṣṭhāḥ śaunakādyāḥ samāhitāḥ | śrutaṃ samyaganuṣṭhāya tatra tasthuśca satriṇaḥ || 49 ||

ต่อมาเมื่อได้รับคำสั่งจากทุกท่านอีกครั้ง เขาก็ไปเพื่อเฝ้าดูพระอาจารย์ของตน ส่วนเหล่าทวิชผู้ประเสริฐมีเศานกะเป็นต้น ตั้งจิตแน่วแน่ ปฏิบัติตามที่ได้สดับโดยชอบแล้ว ก็พำนักอยู่ ณ ที่นั้นในฐานะผู้ประกอบสัตรยัญญะ (สมัยบูชายัญต่อเนื่อง)۔
