FAQs

It highlights classical Dharma-qualifications—charity, austerity, fasting, ritual purity of diet, and mastery of the senses—as foundational disciplines that support higher religious aims taught in the text.

By stressing self-restraint and purity (upavāsa, haviṣya, jitendriyatā), it frames the inner discipline that makes worship and devotion steady, focused, and free from sensory agitation.

Ritual practice is implied through the term “haviṣya” (oblation-related pure food), reflecting applied Kalpa (procedural discipline of rites/vows) rather than grammar or astrology.
