Purāṇa-Māhātmya
पप्रच्छ शांभवं ज्ञानं पशुपाशविमोक्षणम् । स शिवः सादरं तस्य भक्त्या संतुष्टमानसः ॥ २२ ॥
papraccha śāṃbhavaṃ jñānaṃ paśupāśavimokṣaṇam | sa śivaḥ sādaraṃ tasya bhaktyā saṃtuṣṭamānasaḥ || 22 ||
เขาทูลถามถึงญาณแห่งศามภวะ อันเป็นปัญญาปลดปล่อยให้พ้นจากเครื่องผูกแห่งปศุและปาศะ พระศิวะผู้ทรงยินดีด้วยภักติของผู้นั้น จึงตรัสตอบด้วยความเอื้ออาทร
