कृत्वा स्वर्णमयान्विप्र गंधाद्यैरुपचारकैः । आत्मा ह्यायुर्मनो दक्षो मदः प्राणस्तथैव च ॥ ५६ ॥

kṛtvā svarṇamayānvipra gaṃdhādyairupacārakaiḥ | ātmā hyāyurmano dakṣo madaḥ prāṇastathaiva ca || 56 ||

Translation

โอพราหมณ์ เมื่อสร้างรูปศักดิ์สิทธิ์ด้วยทองคำแล้วบูชาด้วยเครื่องสักการะ เช่น เครื่องหอมเป็นต้น พึงรู้ว่า อาตมันเองคืออายุขัย คือจิต คือความสามารถ คือพลัง (มทะ) และคือปราณด้วย.
