Narada (as narrator/teacher within the Narada Purana’s dialogue framework)
Vrata: none
Primary Rasa: bhakti
Secondary Rasa: adbhuta
It presents a clear phala-śruti: worship of Devī on Jyeṣṭha Śukla Aṣṭamī yields divine honor and the posthumous attainment of Śivaloka for an aeon, emphasizing the power of time-specific devotion.
By linking sincere pūjā of Devī to exalted spiritual results, the verse frames bhakti as a direct, grace-oriented means to divine realms, where devotion expressed through worship becomes transformative.
It highlights calendrical discipline—tithi (Aṣṭamī), pakṣa (śukla), and māsa (Jyeṣṭha)—which aligns with Jyotiṣa/Vedāṅga time-reckoning used to schedule vrata and pūjā for prescribed outcomes.
