FAQs

It links a specific sacred time (Vaiśākha caturthī) with focused Viṣṇu-bhakti—invoking Saṅkarṣaṇa—promising the highest fruit described as attaining Viṣṇu’s realm (Viṣṇuloka), and framing the act as meritorious when done for the benefit of a brāhmaṇa.

Bhakti here is expressed as nāma-prārthanā (prayer by specific divine name) to Saṅkarṣaṇa, performed on an auspicious tithi, showing that devotion is both inner (prayerful remembrance) and outer (observance of sacred calendrical discipline).

It highlights calendrical/ritual timing through tithi-observance—‘Vaiśākha caturthī’—which aligns with Jyotiṣa-based vrata scheduling used in Purāṇic ritual practice.
