ต่อมาในไวษณวมหาตมยะ ได้กล่าวถึงผลบุญจากทานต่าง ๆ เช่นการถวายที่นอน; ถัดไปเป็นพิธีการให้ทานน้ำและวิธีปฏิบัติที่เกี่ยวเนื่อง แล้วจึงตามด้วยเรื่องเล่าที่ชื่อว่า “กามาขยานะ”
