The text distinguishes embodied ‘fields’ and the ‘knowers’ of those fields, implying an ordered emergence of conscious principles alongside material embodiment.
Sarga: it describes the production of a class of beings/principles (kṣetrajñas) as part of the primary creation sequence.
By locating kṣetrajñas in the creator’s ‘limbs,’ the verse suggests that individual consciousnesses are not alien to the cosmic source; they are expressions within the total body of creation.
