Adhyaya 11 — The Son’s Discourse on Embryogenesis, Birth, and the Wheel of Saṃsāra
स्वर्गेऽपि दुःखमतुलं यदारोहणकालतः ।
प्रभृत्यहं पतिष्यामीत्येतन्मनसि वर्तते ॥
svarge ’pi duḥkham atulaṁ yad ārohaṇa-kālataḥ | prabhṛty ahaṁ patiṣyāmīty etan manasi vartate ||
แม้ในสวรรค์ก็มีความทุกข์อันหาที่เปรียบมิได้ เพราะตั้งแต่ย่างขึ้นไปแล้ว ใจย่อมค้างอยู่ด้วยความคิดว่า “จากที่นั่นเราจักตกลงมาอีกครั้ง”

Even meritorious heavenly enjoyments are unstable; the fear of losing them is itself suffering. Therefore one should seek a goal beyond karma’s temporary fruits—mokṣa.
