Educational Q&A

The verse underscores a graded spiritual cosmos: even gods acknowledge higher objects of reverence, and worship (yajña) is presented as a means of honoring superior spiritual realities—encouraging humility and devotion rather than pride in status.

A divine messenger describes to the listener a lofty realm inhabited by the Ṛṣabhas, portraying them as deities revered by the gods and situated beyond the usual divine worlds, with the gods themselves performing sacrificial worship to them.
