Duryodhana’s Post-Duel Lament and Instructions (भग्नसक्थस्य विलापः)

तत्त्वतो वै समाचक्ष्व सर्वमध्वर्युसत्तम । यच्चात्र कारणं ब्रद्मन्‌ कार्यस्यास्य विनिश्चये,यजुर्वेदीय दिद्वानोंमें श्रेष्ठ ब्राह्मणदेव! इस कार्यका निश्चय करनेमें जो भी कारण हो, वह सब यथार्थरूपसे मुझे बताइये

tattvato vai samācakṣva sarvam adhvaryusattama | yac cātra kāraṇaṃ brahman kāryasyāsya viniścaye ||

ชนเมชยะตรัสว่า “โอ ผู้ประเสริฐในหมู่อธวรยุ จงบอกข้าทุกสิ่งตามความเป็นจริง และโอ พราหมณ์ จงอธิบายด้วยว่า เหตุปัจจัยใดบ้างที่เกี่ยวข้องกับการตัดสินเรื่องนี้ให้แน่ชัด”
