खाण्डवदाहे देवविमुखता तथा मयदानवाभयदानम् | Khāṇḍava Burning: Devas Withdraw; Maya Granted Protection

ततो<ब्रवीद्‌ वासुदेवं वचो राम: परंतप: । किमवागुपविष्टो$सि प्रेक्षमाणो जनार्दन,तदनन्तर परंतप बलरामजी भगवान्‌ श्रीकृष्णसे बोले--जनार्दन! यह सब कुछ देखते हुए भी तुम क्‍यों मौन होकर बैठे हो?

tato ’bravīd vāsudevaṃ vaco rāmaḥ parantapaḥ | kim avāg upaviṣṭo ’si prekṣamāṇo janārdana ||

แล้วพระราม (พระพลราม) ผู้เผาผลาญศัตรู ตรัสแก่พระวาสุเทพว่า “โอ้ชนารทนะ เหตุใดท่านจึงนั่งนิ่ง ก้มพักตร์ เพียงเฝ้ามองเหตุการณ์ทั้งหมดนี้?”
