Sukta 3

ये नः॑ पि॒तुः पि॒तरो॒ ये पि॑ताम॒हा अ॑नूजहि॒रे सो॑मपी॒थं वसि॑ष्ठाः । तेभि॑र्य॒मः सं॑ररा॒णो ह॒वींष्यु॒शन्नु॒शद्भिः॑ प्रतिका॒मम॑त्तु

yé naḥ pitúḥ pitáro yé pitāmahā́ anūjahiré somapī́thaṃ vasíṣṭhāḥ | tébhir yamáḥ sáṃrarāṇó havī́ṃṣy uśán uśádbhiḥ pratikā́mam attu

They who are Fathers of our father, they who are grandfathers, who in succession reached the Soma-drinking—those most excellent: with them let Yama, rejoicing, eat the oblations, himself desiring, with the desirous, according to each wish.

ผู้ที่เป็นบรรพชนของบิดาเรา ผู้ที่เป็นปู่ย่าตายายของเรา ผู้ที่สืบต่อกันไปถึงการดื่มโสมะ (Soma) — ผู้ประเสริฐยิ่ง ขอให้ยมะ (Yama) ชื่นบานร่วมกับท่านทั้งหลาย แล้วเสวยเครื่องบูชา ด้วยความปรารถนาของตนเอง ร่วมกับผู้ปรารถนา ให้เป็นไปตามความประสงค์ของแต่ละคน
