Vidya Category: {"primary_vidya":"Mantra","secondary_vidya":"Tantra","practical_application":"Mantra-nyāsa for specific tattva-pairs (Ātma/Vidyā; Vidyā/Śiva) with attention to hrasva–dīrgha phonetics; includes manuscript variants and tactile sequence using darbha to touch brahmāṅga-traya.","sutra_style":true}
Encyclopedic Reference: {"reference_type":"Mantra","entry_title":"Ātma–Vidyā (and Vidyā–Śiva) Tattva-nyāsa Mantras with Hrasva–Dīrgha Rules","lookup_keywords":["oṃ āṃ īṃ","ātma-tattva","vidyā-tattva","śiva-tattva","hrasva-dīrgha"],"quick_summary":"Install the tattvas through specified bīja-mantra formulas, preserving correct short/long vowel measures; note variant readings across manuscripts; then touch with darbha from the roots onward and contemplate tattvas in order."}
Concept: Tattva-anusandhāna is joined to precise mantra-phonetics; śabda (sound) and tattva (principle) are linked through correct nyāsa and contemplation.
Application: Maintain exact vowel length in bīja-mantras; when encountering pāṭha-bheda, follow one consistent paddhati lineage; perform tactile sequencing (darbha-sparśa) to anchor contemplation.
Khanda Section: Puja-vidhi (Mantra-nyasa and Tattva-sadhana / Tantric ritual procedure)
Primary Rasa: adbhuta
Secondary Rasa: shanta
Visual Art Cues: {"scene_description":"A manuscript-aware ritualist recites bīja-mantras for Ātma/Vidyā/Śiva tattvas, carefully marking vowel lengths, then touches ritual points with darbha starting from the roots and proceeds through a triad of Brahmā-limbs while contemplating tattvas.","kerala_mural_prompt":"Kerala mural, priest holding palm-leaf manuscript, bīja syllables inscribed in a mandala, darbha bundle touching ritual points, stylized script motifs, lamp-lit sanctum ambiance","tanjore_prompt":"Tanjore painting, gold-embellished mantra diagram with bīja syllables, priest with darbha and rosary, ornate altar, rich jewel tones, subtle depiction of manuscript variants as side inscriptions","mysore_prompt":"Mysore style, technical clarity: close-up of bīja-mantras with long/short vowel marks, priest touching three brahmāṅgas in sequence using darbha roots, clean instructional composition","mughal_miniature_prompt":"Mughal miniature, scholar-priest comparing manuscripts, marginal notes indicating variants, then performing darbha-sparśa at the altar, fine calligraphy-like detailing"}
Audio Atmosphere: {"recitation_mood":"instructional","suggested_raga":"Bhairavi","pace":"slow","voice_tone":"instructional"}
Sandhi Resolution Notes:
Related Themes: Agni Purana 92 (mantra-nyāsa and tattva-sādhana passages)
It teaches a nyāsa-style installation of bīja-mantras linked to specific tattvas (Self, Knowledge, Śiva), emphasizing correct phonetic quantity (hrasva–dīrgha) and a subsequent ritual touch (sparśa) using darbha as part of tattva-contemplation.
Alongside theology, it preserves practical ritual technology: mantra-phonetics, nyāsa mechanics, and even manuscript-variant notes—showing the Agni Purana as a compendium that spans liturgy, linguistics (prosodic/phonetic precision), and ritual praxis.
Correctly installed mantras and disciplined phonetic recitation are presented as purificatory and alignment-producing: the practitioner ritually integrates the tattvas into the body-mind field, supporting inner clarity (vidyā) and auspicious consciousness (śiva-tattva).
