Related Themes: Agni Purana 78 (Pūjā-vidhi sections on rakṣā, abhiṣeka, homa)
It prescribes a sequence within a protective rite: allocate a tenth portion for the vardhanī (increase/prosperity) component, formally establish the rakṣā (protective charm), then propitiate Gaṇeśa, Vāyu, and Śiva—Śiva specifically with pañcāmṛta-type offerings.
It exemplifies the Agni Purana’s practical ritual manuals: not just theology, but stepwise liturgical instructions (offerings, proportions like one-tenth, deity order, and specific substances such as pañcāmṛta) used for protection and prosperity rites.
By properly commissioning the rakṣā and honoring Gaṇeśa (remover of obstacles), Vāyu (vital force), and Śiva (purifier), the rite is framed to remove impediments, stabilize protective power, and enhance auspicious increase, yielding merit through correct devotional procedure.
