ततः स्वमूर्तौ तोयाख्ये लीनान् दृष्त्वा सुरेश्वरः । जिघृक्षुश्चिन्तयामास मत्स्यो भूत्वाविशज्जलम् ॥ ९.२६ ॥

tataḥ svamūrtau toyākhye līnān dṛṣṭvā sureśvaraḥ | jighṛkṣuś cintayāmāsa matsyo bhūtvāviśaj jalam || 9.26 ||

తదుపరి ‘తోయ’ అనే తన స్వమూర్తిలో అవి లీనమై ఉన్నట్లు చూసిన సురేశ్వరుడు వాటిని గ్రహించాలనే సంకల్పంతో ఆలోచించి, మత్స్యరూపం ధరించి జలంలో ప్రవేశించెను।
