Varaha Purana 68.9 — Adhyaya 68, Shloka 9

Dharma Across the Four Yugas, the Disruption of Social Conduct, and Ritual Purification from Varṇa-Mixing Transgressions

सर्वाशिनो भविष्यन्ति ब्राह्मणाः शौचवर्जिताः । सुरा पेयमिति प्राहुः सत्यशौचविवर्जिताः ॥ ६८.९ ॥

sarvāśino bhaviṣyanti brāhmaṇāḥ śaucavarjitāḥ | surā peyam iti prāhuḥ satyaśaucavivarjitāḥ || 68.9 ||

బ్రాహ్మణులు అన్నివిధాల ఆహారం తినేవారై, శౌచం లేనివారైపోతారు. సత్యం, శౌచం విడిచి ‘సురా కూడా పానీయం’ అని చెప్పుతారు.
