The Hunter’s Austerity and the Gaining of Durvāsas’ Favor

तं दृष्ट्वा महदाश्चर्यं दुर्वासा विस्मयं ययौ । प्रक्षाल्य हस्तौ पादौ च तदन्तं श्रद्धयान्वितम् । बुभुजे परमप्रीतस्तथाचम्य विचक्षणः ॥ ३८.२८ ॥

taṁ dṛṣṭvā mahadāścaryaṁ durvāsā vismayaṁ yayau | prakṣālya hastau pādau ca tadantaṁ śraddhayānvitam | bubhuje paramaprītas tathācāmya vicakṣaṇaḥ || 38.28 ||

ఆ మహద్ఆశ్చర్యాన్ని చూచి దుర్వాసుడు విస్మయమునకు లోనయ్యాడు. అతడు చేతులు, పాదములు కడిగి, శ్రద్ధతో ఆ భోజనాన్ని అంతమువరకు భుజించి, తరువాత ఆచమనం చేసి, వివేకి ముని పరమానందమొందెను.
