viśāle tu kṛte devyā locane viṣṇudarśanāt | viśālākṣī tato jātā tatrasthā daityanāśinī

Translation

విష్ణుదర్శనంతో దేవి తన నేత్రాలను విశాలంగా చేసినప్పుడు ఆమె ‘విశాలాక్షి’గా ప్రసిద్ధి పొందింది; అక్కడే నివసిస్తూ దైత్యనాశినిగా నిలిచింది।
