तं दृष्ट्वा मानवो देवि मुच्यते पंचपातकैः । सार्द्धद्वादशहस्तं तु योजनत्रितयेन तु । न पश्यंति महादेवि पापिष्ठा ये तु मानवाः
taṃ dṛṣṭvā mānavo devi mucyate paṃcapātakaiḥ | sārddhadvādaśahastaṃ tu yojanatritayena tu | na paśyaṃti mahādevi pāpiṣṭhā ye tu mānavāḥ
హే దేవీ, దానిని దర్శించిన మనిషి పంచ మహాపాతకాల నుండి విముక్తుడవుతాడు. కానీ ఓ మహాదేవీ, అత్యంత పాపిష్ఠులు దానిని చూడలేరు—అది సార్ధ ద్వాదశ హస్త పరిమాణమై, మూడు యోజనాల పరిధిలో (కనిపించగలిగినా)।
