eṣo'ruṇakarasparśātsvābhāṃ tyajati caṃdramāḥ | niśākṣaye nirutsāho yathāhaṃ vidhinā kṛtaḥ

ఉషాకిరణస్పర్శమాత్రమున చంద్రుడు తన స్వప్రభను విడిచిపెడతాడు; అలాగే రాత్రి క్షయమున నేను నిరుత్సాహుడనైపోతాను—ఇలా విధి నన్ను చేసెను।
