यथा चिद्वृद्धमतसमग्ने संजूर्वसि क्षमि । एवा दह मित्रमहो यो अस्मध्रुग्दुर्मन्मा कश्च वेनति ॥
Transliteration
yáthā cid vṛddhám atásam ágne sam-jū́rvasi kṣámi | evā́ dáha mitra-maho yó asmá-dhrug dur-mánmā káś ca vénati ||
Translation
అగ్నీ, భూమిపై పెరిగిన దట్టమైన గుబురును కూడా నీవు ఎలా దహించివేస్తావో, అలాగే, మహాబలుల మిత్రుడా, మాకు ద్రోహం చేయువాడు ఎవడైనా—దుర్మనస్సుతో పైచేయి సాధించదలచిన ఎవరైనా—అతనిని పూర్తిగా దహించు.
