वक्ष्यन्तीवेदा गनीगन्ति कर्णं प्रियं सखायं परिषस्वजाना । योषेव शिङ्क्ते वितताधि धन्वञ्ज्या इयं समने पारयन्ती ॥

vakṣyántīvedā́ ganīganti kárṇaṃ priyáṃ sákhāyaṃ pariṣasvajānā́ | yóṣeva śíṅkte vitatā́dhi dhánvan jyā́ iyáṃ sámane pāráyantī ||

ఆకాంక్షతో ఉన్న స్త్రీలాగా, ఆమె మళ్లీ మళ్లీ చెవివద్దకు వస్తుంది; ప్రియ సఖుడిని ఆలింగనం చేస్తుంది. భార్యలాగా తన్ను అలంకరించుకుంటుంది—ధనుస్సుపై బిగించబడిన ఈ ధనుర్జ్య, సమరంలో దాటించేది.
