Sukta 6.18
अनु त्वाहिघ्ने अध देव देवा मदन्विश्वे कवितमं कवीनाम् । करो यत्र वरिवो बाधिताय दिवे जनाय तन्वे गृणानः ॥
ánu tvā́highne ádha deva devā́ madán víśve kavitamáṃ kavīnā́m | karó yátra várivo bādhitā́ya divé jánāya tanvé gṛṇānáḥ ||
హే అహిఘ్నే (వృత్రహన్) దేవా! నిన్ను అనుసరించి దేవతలందరూ కూడా ఆనందిస్తారు; హే దేవా, కవులలో నీవే అత్యంత ‘కవితమ’ (ద్రష్టా). నలిగిపోయి, అడ్డుపడినవానికి నీవు విశాలమైన అవకాశం (వరివస్) కల్పిస్తావు—దివ్యలోకార్థం, జనులార్థం, దేహధారిజీవార్థం—మేము నిన్ను స్తుతిస్తూ పాడుతున్నప్పుడు.
