Sukta 5.42
तवोतिभिः सचमाना अरिष्टा बृहस्पते मघवानः सुवीराः । ये अश्वदा उत वा सन्ति गोदा ये वस्त्रदाः सुभगास्तेषु रायः ॥
távotíbhiḥ sácamānā áriṣṭā bṛ́haspate maghávānaḥ suvī́rāḥ | yé aśvadā́ utá vā sánti godā́ yé vastradā́ḥ subhágās téṣu rā́yaḥ ||
ఓ బృహస్పతే, నీ సహాయాలతో, నీతో కలిసి మేము అరిష్టులు—అక్షతులు—అవుతాము; దానశీలులమై, సు-వీరులు (వీరసంతానసంపన్నులు) అవుతాము. అశ్వదానం చేసేవారు, లేదా గోదానం (ప్రకాశ కిరణాల దాతలు) అయ్యేవారు, వస్త్రదానం (రక్షణావరణం) ఇచ్చేవారు—వారు సుభాగ్యులు; వారిలోనే నిజమైన రాయ్ (సమృద్ధి) నివసిస్తుంది.
