अस्माकमिन्द्रेहि नो रथमवा पुरंध्या । वयं शविष्ठ वार्यं दिवि श्रवो दधीमहि दिवि स्तोमं मनामहे ॥
asmā́kam indréhi no rátham avā́ puraṁdhyā́ | vayáṁ śaviṣṭha vā́ryaṁ diví śrávo dadhīmahi diví stómaṁ manāmahe ||
హే ఇంద్రా, మా రథానికి సమీపంగా వచ్చి, పురంధ్యా—సమ్యక్ సాధన యొక్క పరిపూర్ణతతో—దానిని కాపాడుము. హే అత్యంత శక్తిమంతుడా, దివి (చైతన్య-స్వర్గంలో) వార్య శ్రవః—ప్రకాశమయ కీర్తి/శ్రవణం—స్థాపించదలచుకున్నాము; అదే దివిలోనే మా స్తోమాన్ని మలిచి నిలుపుకొంటాము.
