Sukta 5.1
तुभ्यं भरन्ति क्षितयो यविष्ठ बलिमग्ने अन्तित ओत दूरात् । आ भन्दिष्ठस्य सुमतिं चिकिद्धि बृहत्ते अग्ने महि शर्म भद्रम् ॥
túbhyaṃ bharanti kṣitáyo yaviṣṭha balím agne ántita óta dūrā́t | ā́ bhandiṣṭhasya su-matíṃ cikiddhi bṛhá t te agne máhi śárma bhadrám ||
హే యవిష్ఠ అగ్నీ! సమీపం నుండీ దూరం నుండీ ప్రజలు నీకు బలి (అర్పణం) తీసుకొస్తారు. అత్యంత దాత యొక్క సుమతి (సద్బుద్ధి) మాలో గ్రహించి స్థాపించు; ఎందుకంటే హే అగ్నీ, నీ మహత్తరమైన, విశాలమైన, మంగళకరమైన శరణం నిజంగా శుభరక్షణ.
