भरतस्य कैकेयी-गर्हा तथा सुरभि-दृष्टान्तः

Bharata’s Reproach of Kaikeyi and the Surabhi Exemplum

अन्यदा किल धर्मज्ञा सुरभि स्सुरसम्मता।वहमानौ ददर्शोर्व्यां पुत्रौ विगतचेतसौ।।।।

anyadā kila dharmajñā surabhiḥ surasammatā | vahamānau dadarśorvyāṃ putrau vigatacetasau ||

ఒకసారి ధర్మజ్ఞురాలై దేవతలచే గౌరవింపబడిన సురభి, భూమిపై భారాలు మోస్తూ చైతన్యహీనులైన తన ఇద్దరు కుమారులను చూచిందని చెబుతారు.
