Rama’s Attempt to Dissuade Sita from Forest Exile

सरीसृपाश्च बहवो बहुरूपाश्च भामिनि।चरन्ति पृथिवीं दर्पात्ततो दुःखतरं वनम्।।2.28.19।।

sarīsṛpāś ca bahavo bahu-rūpāś ca bhāmini |

caranti pṛthivīṃ darpāt tato duḥkhataraṃ vanam ||2.28.19||

హే సుందరీ! అనేక రూపాలైన అనేక సర్పాది సరీసృపాలు దర్పంతో నేలపై సంచరిస్తుంటాయి; అందుచేత వనజీవితం మరింత దుఃఖకరం।
