FAQs

It praises the spiritual efficacy (phalaśruti) of worshiping Śaṅkukarṇeśvara, stating that sages regard it as yielding merit ten times that of the Aśvamedha sacrifice.

The Aśvamedha is a paradigmatic royal Vedic rite associated with immense merit; the comparison elevates devotional worship and sacred-site devotion as an even more potent means of religious merit.

It encourages prioritizing sincere worship and reverence toward sacred forms/places of Śiva, presenting devotion as accessible and highly rewarding compared to costly, elaborate rituals.
