Bhagavān (the Blessed One / Lord, as indicated by 'bhagavān uvāca')

Concept: Even when a teaching has been heard before, sincere curiosity is honored; spiritual topics deserve repeated hearing to deepen realization.

Application: Revisit core teachings regularly (daily reading/recitation); ask for ‘prabhāva’—the practical transformative effect—rather than only narrative detail.

Primary Rasa: adbhuta

Secondary Rasa: shanta

Visual Art Cues: {"scene_description":"A luminous teacher (Bhagavān) sits composed, responding to a respectful Brahmin who asks about the full ‘prabhāva’ of a subject. The teacher’s gesture suggests both gentle correction—‘you told this before’—and affectionate permission to ask again, as if wisdom ripens through repetition.","primary_figures":["Bhagavān (teacher figure)","brahmin inquirer"],"setting":"sacred discourse hall or hermitage veranda with manuscripts and a ritual water vessel","lighting_mood":"divine radiance","color_palette":["radiant gold","sapphire blue","pearl white","saffron","forest green"],"tanjore_prompt":"Tanjore painting style: Bhagavān seated with a subtle golden aura, right hand in teaching mudrā, the Brahmin kneeling with a manuscript; gold leaf radiance, jewel-like ornaments, rich red-green textiles, ornate arch framing the discourse scene.","pahari_prompt":"Pahari miniature style: serene dialogue under a pavilion with slender pillars, delicate lines and soft shading; the inquirer’s humility contrasted with the teacher’s calm smile; cool blues and greens, distant hills, refined facial features.","kerala_mural_prompt":"Kerala mural style: frontal, iconic teacher figure with bold outlines and expressive eyes; the Brahmin at the side in añjali; warm yellow-red-green pigments, temple-wall composition emphasizing didactic authority.","pichwai_prompt":"Pichwai cloth painting style: discourse scene framed by lotus borders; central empty lotus throne motif hinting at transcendence; deep indigo with gold highlights, floral filigree, symmetrical devotional layout."}

Audio Atmosphere: {"recitation_mood":"narrative","suggested_raga":"Desh","pace":"moderate-narrative","voice_tone":"authoritative","sound_elements":["soft conch","temple bells","page rustle","gentle drone (tanpura)"]}

Sandhi Resolution Notes: वक्तुमर्हसि = वक्तुम् + अर्हसि; अर्हस्यशेषतः = अर्हसि + अशेषतः; भगवानुवाच = भगवान् + उवाच.

FAQs

The listener asks for a complete description of the prabhāva (spiritual power/efficacy) of the referenced subject (likely a place, vow, or sacred topic in the surrounding passage).

The phrase marks the response of “Bhagavān” (the Blessed Lord). The exact identity (e.g., Viṣṇu, Śiva, etc.) depends on the broader chapter context, which is not included in the single-verse input.

It highlights earnest inquiry and the desire to understand sacred efficacy fully; even if something was heard earlier, renewed curiosity can prompt deeper clarification.
