Narada (teaching in a technical/ritual context within Book 1.3)
Vrata: none
Primary Rasa: shanta
Secondary Rasa: bhakti
It emphasizes ritual purity and precise selection of offerings—milk and specific flowers—indicating that correct materials (dravya) and purity conditions are integral to the intended spiritual efficacy of a homa.
Though primarily a ritual injunction, it supports bhakti by prescribing careful, reverent worship-actions; devotional intent is expressed through disciplined offering and purity in sacrificial worship.
It highlights Kalpa-style procedural knowledge: exact ritual ingredients and purity qualifiers (white cow, same-colored calf, milk-moistened oblations) used for correct performance of a fire-offering.
