The Exposition of the Nityā-paṭala
tathā ratnaiśca navabhirmāsaṃ tu yadi pūjayet | vimuktasarvapāpaughaistāṃ ca paśyati cakṣuṣā || 81 ||
Sanatkumara (in instruction to Narada, within the Narada–Sanatkumara dialogue)
Vrata: none
Primary Rasa: adbhuta
Secondary Rasa: bhakti
It teaches that sustained, properly resourced worship (here, a month-long puja using nine jewels) purifies accumulated sin and culminates in direct, experiential divine vision (darśana).
Bhakti is presented as disciplined, continuous worship with reverence and offering; its fruit is inner purification and the grace of perceiving the deity directly, not merely as belief but as lived experience.
Ritual pragmatics are emphasized—choice of offerings (ratna), numerical prescription (nine), and time-bound observance (one month)—reflecting a procedural, rule-based approach typical of applied Vedic disciplines used in puja and vrata practice.
