Virūpākṣa
Vrata: none
Primary Rasa: adbhuta
Secondary Rasa: bhakti
It highlights vāg-śakti (the potency of empowered speech): a realized or authoritative utterance can purify impurity and symbolically transmute the harmful (viṣa) into the life-giving (amṛta).
Though not explicitly naming bhakti, it supports the bhakti principle that sanctified speech—praise, prayer, and mantra—purifies the devotee and changes one’s inner condition from toxicity to nectar-like clarity.
It points to mantra-prayoga and śuddhi concepts central to Vedāṅga-linked ritual practice: correct, authoritative utterance (supported by śikṣā/phonetics and vyākaraṇa/grammar) is treated as the vehicle of purification.
