Devotees/sages addressing the Lord (Vishnu) in a lament/prayerful appeal within the dialogue context
Vrata: none
Primary Rasa: karuna
Secondary Rasa: bhakti
It highlights the devotee’s intense longing for direct divine experience (darśana), showing that spiritual life is not merely duration of practice but a heartfelt plea for the Lord’s grace and presence.
Bhakti is portrayed as sustained, continuous worship “day after day,” yet the verse also emphasizes humility: even long practice does not compel God—darśana is ultimately granted by the Lord’s will and grace.
The verse implicitly stresses the discipline of regular practice (anvaham—daily continuity), a principle aligned with Vedic ritual order and observance; it prioritizes inner devotion as the animating force behind any technical or formal practice.
