Transliteration

ekā tisro'thavā paṃcasaptādyā viṣamā api | tithimānādāsahasraṃ taṃtusaṃkhyā vinirmitā || 77 ||

Translation

ఒకటి, మూడు, లేదా ఐదు-ఏడు మొదలైన బేసి సంఖ్యలైనా—తిథి ప్రమాణాన్ని ఆధారంగా చేసుకొని తంతు (దారాల) సంఖ్యను వెయ్యి మొదలుగా నిర్ణయిస్తారు.
