Narada (teaching in a vrata-vidhi context, within the Narada–Sanatkumara dialogue frame)
Vrata: Aṅgāraka Caturthī-vrata
Primary Rasa: bhakti
Secondary Rasa: shanta
It emphasizes that spiritual merit from a vrata comes from worship done “according to injunction” (vidhānataḥ) and from offering sanctified naivedya—linking devotion with disciplined ritual correctness.
Bhakti is expressed through respectful worship and offering—preparing havis and pāyasa as naivedya is a concrete act of surrender and reverence to the deity on an auspicious tithi.
It reflects ritual procedure and calendrical observance (tithi-based vrata), aligning with Vedāṅga concerns such as proper timing and method of rites—often discussed alongside Jyotiṣa-informed observances.
