जड उवाच एवमुक्त्वा स तं वीरं पुत्राविदमथाब्रवीत् ।

पूजां कुवलयाश्वस्य कर्तुकामो भुजङ्गमः ॥

jaḍa uvāca evam uktvā sa taṃ vīraṃ putrāvidam atha abravīt | pūjāṃ kuvalayāśvasya kartukāmo bhujaṅgamaḥ ||

జడుడు అన్నాడు: ఇలా చెప్పిన తరువాత, తన కుమారులకు తెలిసిన ఆ వీరుణ్ణి అతడు సంబోధించాడు. అటు నాగరాజు కువలయాశ్వుని పూజ చేయాలని కోరుతూ దానికి సిద్ధమయ్యాడు.
