Shloka 42

चर्म खड््‌गं च सम्बाधे धृष्टद्युम्नस्य स द्विज: । ये तु वैतस्तिका नाम शरा आसन्नयोधिन:

carma khaḍgaṃ ca sambādhe dhṛṣṭadyumnasya sa dvijaḥ | ye tu vaitastikā nāma śarā āsannayodhinaḥ ||

సమీప సంగ్రామ గందరగోళంలో ఆ ద్విజుడు (ద్రోణుడు) ధృష్టద్యుమ్నుని ఎదుర్కొనేందుకు ఢాలు-ఖడ్గాన్ని కూడా పట్టుకున్నాడు; అలాగే ‘వైతస్తిక’ అనే బాణాలు సమీపయోధులకు సిద్ధంగా ఉన్నాయి।
