यच्चास्य बाणविकृतं धनूंषि च विशाम्पते । सर्व चिच्छेद दुर्धर्षो गदां खड्गं च वर्जयन्‌

Transliteration

yaccāsya bāṇavikṛtaṃ dhanūṃṣi ca viśāmpate | sarvaṃ ciccheda durdharṣo gadāṃ khaḍgaṃ ca varjayan ||

Translation

సంజయుడు అన్నాడు—ఓ ప్రజానాథా! బాణాల వల్ల వంకరబడ్డ అతని ధనుస్సులన్నిటినీ దుర్ధర్షుడైన ద్రోణుడు పూర్తిగా చీల్చివేశాడు; అయితే గదను, ఖడ్గాన్ని మాత్రం వదిలివేశాడు।
