प्रस्थे हिमवतो रम्ये मालिनीमभितो नदीम् | जाततमुत्सृज्य तं गर्भ मेनका मालिनीमनु
prasthe himavato ramye mālinīm abhito nadīm | jātam ut-sṛjya taṃ garbhaṃ menakā mālinīm anu
హిమవంతుని రమ్యప్రదేశమున, మాలినీ నదీ తీరమున, మేనక ప్రసవించి ఆ నవజాత శిశువును విడిచిపెట్టి మాలినీ తీరాన వెళ్ళిపోయెను.
