Sukta 24

यः प्र॑थ॒मः क॑र्म॒कृत्या॑य ज॒ज्ञे यस्य॑ वी॒र्यंऽ प्रथ॒मस्यानु॑बुद्धम्। येनोद्य॑तो॒ वज्रो॒ऽभ्याय॒ताहिं॒ स नो॑ मुञ्च॒त्वंह॑सः

Sanskrit recitationAtharva Veda 4.24.6

yáḥ prathamáḥ karmakṛ́tyāya jajñé yásya vīryàṁ prathamásyānubuddhám | yénodyató vájro ’bhy ā́yatā́hiṁ sá no muñcatv áṁhasaḥ

He who was born the first for deed and counter-deed, whose heroic might, the firstling’s, is acknowledged; by whom the uplifted bolt rushed forth against the Serpent—may he release us from distress and sin.

కర్మము మరియు ప్రతికర్మము (కృతియా-ప్రతిఘాతం) కొరకు మొదట జన్మించినవాడు; మొదటిపుట్టినవాని వీర్యము (వీరబలం) అని గుర్తింపబడినవాడు; యెవరి చేత ఎత్తబడిన వజ్రం అహి (సర్పం) పైకి దూసుకెళ్లిందో—ఆయన మమ్మల్ని అంహస్ (క్లేశం) మరియు పాపం నుండి విముక్తి చేయుగాక।
